Tatiana Rivero Competes in the Miss Piel Dorada Pageant!!!! April 8, 2010

 Tatiana Rivero returns to San Pedro after two weeks’ stay in Chiapas Mexico, where she competed in the “Miss. Piel Dorada Internacioanl” Competition. During the time she was there, she participated in various runway productoons, fashion shoots, parades and other festivities. Ms. Rivero got a chance to model various high end fashion that included: Bridal Gowns, Evening Wear, Summer Fashion, Swim Wear, Fall Fashion and Fantasy Wear.

While Ms. Rivero did not receive the crown, she captivated audiences and judges alike; as she was asked to compete in the upcoming, Miss Pacifico Pageant, to be held in Mazatlan Aloa, Mexico in February 2011.
Congratulations Ms. Rivero, and good luck on your future endeavors!!!!!!!!!

Miss Teenager BelizeIt is all taking place at the Hotel Sheraton at El Salvador – the Miss Teenager Universe Pageant. And, this year, Miss Teenager Universe will see the participation of Daniella Wooley as she proudly represents Belize. For the first time, Belize will have representation in the pageant in the form of the gorgeous 19-year-old from Esperanza Village in the Cayo District.

For the past two years, Daniella has been anxiously awaiting and training non-stop for her participation on the pageant. 21 teenagers from around the world have rendezvoused to the Central American country where they are participating in a flurry of events which will lead up to the grand night.

    This Saturday, September 26th, Corozal Town will come alive as it is the first District to host the Finals of the biggest beauty pageant in Belize. Competing for two coveted titles, Miss World Belize 2009 and Miss Earth Belize 2009, the young delegates will showcase beauty and brains for the excited crowd.

    This year representing San Pedro is beauty Norma Leticia “Letty” Lara who reigned as Miss San Pedro for the year 2005/06. A graceful dancer, Letty will certainly make La Isla Bonita proud as she follows the footsteps of her sister Ceci, who was also a former beauty queen.

    With Letty in participation, other participants certainly will have to put their best forward. Letty is going for the crown and the Corozal Andres Campos Civic Center will be the place where it will all happen. The winning delegates will travel to London and Johannesburg, South Africa for a month where they will compete for the 59th edition of the Miss World final scheduled for December 12th.

    A press release issued by the Miss World committee, South Africa also happens to be the location for this year’s World Cup and the delegates of the Miss World Pageant will be showcased in that event, as well.

    Corozal will be a flurry of activity as the top 10 applicants will also have the opportunity to compete for local titles such as Miss Beach Beauty, Miss Top Model, as well as prize packages such as Shell Free Zone’s $3,000 scholarship, a $5,000 prize package from Five Star La Perla del Caribe Resort in San Pedro Town. This year’s theme for the pageant will be Belizean Rainforest meets African Jungle and Gilharry 7 has been set as the performers for the coronation dance.

San Pedro is in need of a new beauty ambassador and six beautiful and vibrant young ladies have graciously accepted the challenge to vie for the coveted title and sparkling crown. Throughout the years, the Miss San Pedro Pageant has achieved a new young and modern look and this will be clearly visible on pageant night. This year’s theme will be “Wild and Free: A tribute to Belize’s Flora and Fauna.” This will be portrayed through the costumes that the girls will parade on stage.

15-year-old Senior at San Pedro High School proudly representing Ramon’s Village. In the future, Raquel would love to become an Interior Designer and attributes all her success to the strength of her mother. “She is a very hardworking woman who is a single mother but has managed to provide with what her children need,” she commented. If she were to take the crown she plans on using her position to the benefit of the youth on the island.

Representing Jaguar’s Temple, this 18-year-old is a student of San Pedro Junior College in the Tourism Management field. Hoping to defend the innocent, Yamily plans on becoming a lawyer when she gets older. Attributing her success to her mom, Yamily says, “My mom has always been there for me, offering me her unconditional support.”

 This year’s pageant will also include fabulous entertainment both local and national. The Miss San Pedro Pageant committee continues to work arduously to make this year’s show bigger and better.     The September Celebrations is fast approaching and San Pedro is in need of a new beauty ambassador. Six beautiful and vibrant young ladies have graciously accepted the challenge to vie for the coveted title and sparkling crown. Miss San Pedro Lizette Vasquez will hand over her crown on September 10th but the pageant will take place on September 5th at the Old Football Field.

    The six girls taking part in this year’s event are Virgen Cornejo, Crysty Baptist, Raquel Badillo, Yamily Vasquez, Yanira Torres and Yasmira Torres.

     Throughout the years, the Miss San Pedro Pageant has achieved a new look and it is clearly visible on pageant night. This year’s theme will be “Wild and Free” and will be a tribute to Belize’s flora and fauna. This will be clearly visible through the costumes that the girls will don on stage.

This afternoon, Lemon Crush launched its 2009 luxury bikini collection, at Moon Dancer Boutique. The beauties of the Reina de la Costa Maya Pageant were on hand dazzled with glistening stones. It was a fun affair that ended at El Patio Restaurant with delicious catered food by Hummingbird Cafe.

AngelicaGuevaraShe is no other than 22-year-old Angelica Guevara Morfin, beautiful delegate representing Guatemala at this year’s Reina de la Costa Maya Internacional. The five foot, six inch brunette is a primary school teacher, a model and a university student where she is majoring in Foreign Relations. Angelica enjoys reading and dancing in her free time.

    Angelica represented her hometown of San Marcos for the 2009 Miss Guatemala. She took home the prize for best figure but shone when she was crowned Miss Guatemala World.
