He is attempting to break and set a new world record for staying the longest underwater – to resurface on Wednesday morning at approximately 10:30 a.m., Robert Silva will have stayed under for 48 hours. This morning with a crew of two accompanied by the great staff of Ramon’s Village dive shop, Silva arrived at Hol Chan Marine Reserve and proceeded to go through the Guiness World Record requirements.

In order to set the new record, Silva will be required to spend a full 48 hours underwater, meaning he has to eat and sleep at Hol Chan’s Marine Reserve for the following two days.
